Perfect Escape

El Gallo is the perfect escape from the stresses and strains of our busy lives – a haven where you can sit back and listen to the sounds of the countryside with a hot cup of coffee and a great book. But if you’re ready for an adventure we have that too!

– El Cupey also offers some unique artesanal businesses that you won’t want to miss!  We have created a special Gastrotour that highlights some of these one of a kind enterprises. Check out some of these special spots on Google Maps: VIEW SPOTS MAPS

-Queso Mora makes cheese fresh daily.  El Cupey is dairy farmland with much of the local community selling their milk to the town of Puerto Plata.  Quesos Mora is a local family business that is an important part of the El Cupey community. Enjoy tours and tastes of this cultural gem!

-Senior Cid Miel is the apiarist of El Cupey!  He invites you to his home to see the bees and taste his amazing honey.  He also sells homemade molasses and sour orange marinade.  Ask him about his Yuca plant! You’ve never seen one so big!

-Naranjal has some great rivers and bathing spots as well.  Check out the map to find these pristine places.  The road may be rocky – but it’s definitely worth the drive!
