About Us
A Sanctuary Rooted in Nature, Culture, and Community
Founded in 2015 by Bryn Toledano and Ernesto Liranzo, El Gallo Ecolodge is more than a place to stay — it is a living example of how tourism can regenerate rather than deplete. Nestled in the lush hills of El Cupey, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, our ecolodge offers an authentic and immersive experience in the heart of the Dominican countryside.
What began as a personal dream and ecological experiment has blossomed into a vibrant, community-driven destination that celebrates biodiversity, local heritage, and sustainability. With comfortable accommodations for up to 50 overnight guests and capacity for 100 day visitors, El Gallo invites guests to reconnect with nature, themselves, and each other.
